StreamlineAM, LLC is a small, focused consulting firm modeled after the public-private partnership models which exist in other parts of the world where mature utility asset management programs exist, such as in Australia. Established in 2012, our company’s vision is to bring asset management tools and management techniques in a practical, sustainable manner to utilities in North America. As a result, our project team includes only veteran consultants with extensive practical experience.
Kurt Vause
Kurt is a professional civil engineer with 32 years experience in planning, design, construction management, engineering program and water/wastewater utility management. As a senior member of a publicly owned, economically regulated utility executive team for 14 years, he was responsible for utility planning and capital construction programs, public works program/project management, and strategic asset management.
As a consulting engineer, Kurt performed studies, designs, project management, and construction management for a variety of municipal and private utilities government organizations as well as industrial process facilities.
Kurt has a BS degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a MS degree in Civil Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the States of Wisconsin and Alaska.
Todd Helgeson
At Todd’s previous employment with AWWU, he was an Asset Economist for over 5 years and was part of a team that developed several practices recognized by IWA/WSAA in 2014 as leading international practice in the field of water/wastewater utility asset management. As Asset Economist, Todd was also responsible for performing economic evaluations on capital projects and asset infrastructure, performing risk assessments, and writing asset management plans for asset groups, asset management tactical plans and asset management strategic plans.
Prior to joining AWWU in 2007, Mr. Helgeson worked in the oilfield services industry in Alaska. As part of both a small startup company and a large multi-national corporation, he was involved in business development and business assessment on both a micro and macro scale.
Todd has a BBA-Finance and Economics, University of Alaska Anchorage 2000. He also is a member and Asset Management committee member of the American Water Works Association. Todd holds a PWAM Certification.
John St.Clair
John has worked in the GIS industry since 2005, starting with entry-level responsibilities and progressing to become a lead GIS Analyst. His work experience includes creating and managing spatial datasets in local and Enterprise SDE environments, data workflow development, implementation of mapping applications on ArcGIS Server and Portal platforms, creating spatial data translations, authoring cartographic products using both ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro, and performing data analysis.
John has a BS degree in Environmental Science/Geography from the University of Oregon and is certified under Safe Software’s FME Professional Certification program. The certification demonstrates the understanding and knowledge of Safe’s FME Desktop software..
StreamlineAM’s main office is based in Anchorage, AK, with a branch office in Silverton, OR. We are a small asset management consulting firm focused on providing the highest level of Asset Management knowledge and expertise with direct utility experience, low overhead, and a deep understanding of implementing Asset Management across a variety of department cultures and sizes. Our consulting firm personnel levels vary based on existing contracts from 5 to 8 members, with the ability to add additional staff resources for labor-based efforts if needed.
